Camille's 18th
Cam asked me a day before her party if I could do her makeup for her 18th. Of course, I gladly obliged. :)
She wanted a neutral, more natural look so I stuck with a taupe shade for her eyes and a slightly nude pink for her lips.
Here is her before shot:

Cam has a very pale, mestiza skin although her skin asthma was visible on her face. So, I had to fight her rashes by using a concealer with a greenish tint first before airbrushing.
And voila!

Gorgeous, right? Doesn't she kind of look like Jojo? :)
Happy birthday, Cam!

Ready.Shoot.Go Outtakes
Rarely are makeup artists taken pictures of while at work during a shoot. Of course, the focus is always on the model, the clothes, and the whole shabang of elements to make the picture perfect and flawless! That's why it's always nice to bring a friend to shoots to make sure the work is documented- even the makeup artist at his/her stressful and least attractive self! :)
Thank you to Ise Simbulan for taking these photos! :*

...and my favorite, taken by THE Haw Santiago. :)

Ready.Shoot.Go
I was invited by the Camera Club of Baliwag to be their makeup artist for their 2-day workshop entitled Read.Shoot.Go last April. It was my first time to work with a camera club and I was so happy with the turnout of the photos. The mentors were not only AMAZING behind the camera, they were also a great pack to work with! Plus, they really taught their students well as seen on the students' output.
We had an indoor photo shoot in the evening (more on glamour portrait shots) and an outdoor one the day after, featuring a scenic landscape with an African safari twist!
Here are some photos taken during the indoor shoot. Enjoy!

Here are some OOHH-LA-LA shots taken at the African-safari-themed shoot.

Prom/ Grad Ball Season
I'm always excited when the month of February comes around. Apart from the hype that Valentine brings, February cues the start of prom and grad ball season. As a budding makeup artist, I took great advantage of this opportunity to showcase my skills coupled with the training I had from Makeup Designory.
For the Ateneo grad ball, I worked on my younger sister, Monique, and two of her friends, Fam and Joanna. Monique wanted a sweet look to match her old rose dress while Fam and Joanna opted for something more neutral.
Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

A week after the Ateneo High School's Graduation Ball came the seniors' ball of Miriam High School. I did Monique plus 4 other girls but forgot to take pictures cause I was too focused on making sure I finish all the 5 girls on time! I only have Monique's look to showcase, good thing she took a lot of pictures during her ball! :)
In contrast to the sweet and simple look Monique went for during the Ateneo ball, she wanted a more mature, beauty pageant style for her ball. I made sure to focus on the eyes and keep the lips nude to balance the look.
This is Monique doing a last minute pose for my mom:

Isn't she gorgeous? :) I'm a proud Ate!
Close up! Monique together with Kenn (my brother; he was the date of one of Monique's friends!)

This glamorous season did not only give me the chance to use what I learned from makeup school, it also made me realize how much I love makeup! Definitely grateful to all the girls I worked with! :)
